Hardness: Will not scratch glass, but this usually can’t be tested as it is normally found inside another crystal

History:
1. Cacoxenite was disliked by miners because it contaminated iron ore and made smelting inefficient and introduced phosphorus impurities that weakened the iron.
2. It was used as a geological warning mineral because the presence of it equaled lower quality iron ore nearby.
3. It became desirable among early mineral collectors and museums due to its distinctive golden radiating fibers.
Lore:
1. Many traditions view Cacoxenite’s golden fibers as threads connecting the physical world to higher realms.
2. Folklore interprets the needles as "wisdom stored inside crystal", representing knowledge embedded in Earth waiting for humans to become ready to understand it.
3. Brazilian miners thought it looked like sunlight trapped in crystal, so they connected it with spiritual evolution.
